Natalie Spooner and Jesse Compher are staying in Toronto.

The free agents signed two-year extensions with the Toronto Sceptres, the team announced Tuesday.

Spooner registered three goals and two assists across 14 regular-season games in 2024-25. Spooner debuted late in her sophomore season with the Sceptres after recovering from knee surgery.

"Natalie has been an important piece to our puzzle in Toronto," Sceptres general manager Gina Kingsbury said in a statement. "She is a key member of our organization both on and off the ice. She is a world-class athlete that has shown just how impactful she can be in this league."

The 34-year-old was named the Billie Jean King Most Valuable Player in the PWHL's inaugural season, when she tallied 20 goals and seven assists in 24 games. Spooner was the league's top scorer and points leader in 2023-24.

Compher, 25, enjoyed a breakout season in 2024-25, tallying nine goals and nine assists in 30 games after managing only five points in 24 appearances the year prior.

"I'm so excited to be back in Toronto! Playing in front of a sold-out crowd in the best city, with the most passionate fans, is an absolute honor," Compher said. "Over the past two years, my teammates and coaches have made this place feel like home, and I can't wait to get to work with this group and help bring a Walter Cup to Toronto!"

The Sceptres also signed goaltender Elaine Chuli and forward Claire Dalton to one-year deals Tuesday.
