Frost beat Charge in OT to win 2nd straight Walter Cup
The Minnesota Frost have gone back-to-back.
The Frost won their second straight Walter Cup on Monday, defeating the Ottawa Charge 2-1 in overtime in Game 4 of the best-of-five PWHL Finals.
Liz Schepers scored the Cup-clinching winner in overtime.

Schepers also scored the game-winning goal in Minnesota's Cup-clinching victory in the 2024 PWHL Finals.
The Frost jumped out to a 1-0 lead with Kelly Pannek's icebreaker midway through the second. Tereza Vanišová notched the equalizer in the third, which forced overtime for the fourth consecutive game of the PWHL Finals.
Both goalies were superb Monday, but Minnesota's Maddie Rooney outdueled Ottawa's Gwyneth Philips, stopping 33 of 34 shots in the victory. Philips turned aside 36 of 38 shots in the game and was named playoff MVP despite the losing effort.
The Frost won both of their Walter Cups in underdog fashion, entering the playoffs as the league's No. 4 seed in 2024 and 2025.
