4 tournament matchup bets for Rocket Mortgage Classic

For those of you looking for a little more action on this week's PGA Tour event, tournament matchups are a fun market to attack. It's considerably different from trying to predict outright winners, but you can often target players you think could win the tournament against players who might struggle to make the cut.
Here are four tournament matchup bets to consider for the Rocket Mortgage Classic:.
Kevin Na (-120) over Scottie Scheffler
Kevin Na is showing signs of form whereas Scottie Scheffler is not. Na came fifth last week at the Travelers and gained strokes across the board, and Scheffler missed the cut by one after finishing tied for 55th at Colonial. Additionally, Detroit Golf Club should help level the playing field between their contrasting styles. Na can contend with strong wedge play and putting, while Scheffler's distance will be neutralized by the shorter par-72 layout.
Brandt Snedeker (-130) over Alex Noren
Brandt Snedeker dominates Donald Ross-designed courses and Detroit Golf Club is one of them. The Nashville native has won three times on Ross' courses - the Wyndham Championship twice and the Tour Championship - and tied for fifth at the Rocket Mortgage Classic last season. Alex Noren, on the other hand, is more of a grinder than a birdie maker and tends to perform better when par is a solid score, not in events where the winning total will be around 20-under.
Kyle Stanley (-130) over Michael Thompson
Kyle Stanley gained 7.1 strokes tee-to-green to rank ninth in last week's star-studded Travelers Championship field. That alone lifts him ahead of Michael Thompson, who has only gained strokes gained: tee-to-green once in his last six events. Stanley might only need to make the cut to cash this one.
Erik van Rooyen (-105) over Rafa Cabrera Bello
It's a battle of European Tour stalwarts with Erik van Rooyen versus Rafa Cabrera Bello. The South African has the edge, as Van Rooyen is a better tee-to-green player than the Spaniard. Both players are coming off solid results in their previous outing, but it's safer to side with Van Rooyen, who is more likely to find greens in regulation at a higher rate.
