Woods-Thomas pairing back for Day 2 with Americans down 4-1
Pairings for Session 2 of the Presidents Cup were announced Thursday with the Americans looking to erase an early 4-1 deficit.
Tiger Woods kept things similar for Day 2 despite Thursday's results. He'll be alongside Justin Thomas again after the pairing collected the Americans' only point during Day 1. The pairings of Patrick Cantlay-Xander Schauffele and Webb Simpson-Patrick Reed remain intact even though both duos lost their opening matches.

Matt Kuchar will step in for his first taste of Royal Melbourne with Dustin Johnson. Rickie Fowler will jump off the bench to take on Sungjae Im and Cam Smith in the last match out.
Bryson DeChambeau and Tony Finau will head to the sideline for Day 2.
Ernie Els elected to split all five pairings from Thursday's 4-1 session. He'll roll out his two big guns first with Louis Oosthuizen and Adam Scott. China's Haotong Li will be the only player to sit both sessions.
