DJ's brother breaks hand falling on stairs
The Johnson brothers and stairs do not get along.
Dustin Johnson's caddie, Austin, was spotted carrying his brother's bag with his arm in a sling and hand in a cast during Wednesday's Valspar Championship practice round.
The reason? Falling on stairs - a familiar obstacle for Dustin as well.
"He had a run in with a pair of stairs kind of like I did," DJ said, finding amusement in his brother's injury. "You know those stairs man, they'll get you."
Dustin was forced to withdraw from the 2017 Masters after falling down stairs at his Augusta rental home. He was entering the tournament that year with three straight wins.
As for this season, Dustin feels confident of his chances heading back to Augusta, provided he stay on his feet, of course.
"Now is the closest I've been to that," he said of his game compared to 2017. "That was probably the best form I've ever been in."
Dustin added that if he replicates his performance from his five-shot victory in Mexico at Augusta, he "definitely will be tough to beat."
