The Fiery Spaniard: 7 memorable on-course blowups by Sergio Garcia

It was hardly a surprise when news broke Saturday morning that Sergio Garcia was disqualified from the European Tour's Saudi International for purposely damaging multiple greens, as the Spaniard is known for letting his emotions get the better of him.

Despite no footage of Garcia's most recent tirades, it's easy to imagine what it may have looked like based on past incidents. Here are seven memorable moments from his blowup-filled career:

1. How to not rake a bunker

This bunker didn't stand a chance after Garcia chunked the ball out of it during the 2013 Dubai Desert Classic. Taking three vicious hacks at the sand is definitely not the proper way to rake a bunker.

2. Curse you, grass

At the 2010 PGA Championship, Garcia found himself with an awkward stance on the lip of a bunker. You can guess what he blamed for the bad shot.

3. Here comes the driver toss

After pull-hooking his drive at the 2018 Texas Open, Garcia hurled his big stick into the bushes. The best part, by far, is his embarrassing retrieval.

4. Second time's the charm

Sergio contemplated throwing his club into the pond after hitting his ball there at the 2011 Thailand Golf Championships. On his next shot, he followed through with the act.

5. Frightened caddie

Garcia's unsuspecting caddie did not see this one coming. After a chunked chip at the 2018 Canadian Open, Sergio slammed his wedge at his bag in an effort that had serious damage potential.

6. Practice makes perfect

When you've broken as many clubs as Garcia has, you learn to adapt. After he smashed his putter at the 2017 Dell Technologies Championship, he showed off his versatility by draining a birdie putt with his 3-wood.

7. Who throws a shoe? Honestly!

Austin Powers once asked the million-dollar question, and perhaps a young Garcia has the answer. In the 1999 World Match Play Championship, he took off his shoe and threw it into the crowd. This was clearly a sign of things to come.
