Four-time PGA Tour winner Rickie Fowler won't compete in the upcoming Dell Technologies Championship, reports Jason Sobel of The Action Network.
Fowler's withdrawal follows his absence from the Northern Trust due to a nagging oblique injury. The 29-year-old has been dealing with the ailment for some time, while a recent MRI revealed a partial tear in his oblique.
It's unknown whether the injury will keep Fowler sidelined for the remainder of the FedEx Cup. The California native remains winless through 18 events this season and sits 22nd in the FedEx Cup standings.
The Dell Technologies Championship tees off Friday in Norton, Mass.
