McIlroy smashes drive over range net during interview, apologizes to group

Rory McIlroy isn't playing this week at the Valspar Championship, but he did do an interview with Marty Smith of ESPN at PGA National.
McIlroy was hitting shots on the range to provide footage for the interview, and when he got to the driver, the Northern Irishman crushed it onto the second tee.
"You just killed someone," said Smith after watching the ball.
"Yup. Fore," said McIlroy. "Sorry."
