The first period of Tuesday's game finished with the Columbus Blue Jackets leading the New York Islanders 2-1, but despite the scoring, both goalies put on an impressive show.

Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak robbed Cam Atkinson - who already had two points in the frame - of a one-timer attempt, but Jackets netminder Joonas Korpisalo one-upped his counterpart by stoning Mikhail Grabovski with a glove save of his own seconds later.

The goalies entered the contest in opposite form, as Halak is winless in three starts while Korpisalo has won four of his last five.
