Capitals' Latta injured in fight with Sabres' Deslauriers

Washington Capitals light heavyweight Michael Latta was hurt in a fight with Buffalo Sabres forward Nicolas Deslauriers on Monday, and the team was quick to rule out a potential head injury.
Coach Barry Trotz said after the 2-0 win that Latta injured his arm, according to CSN's Chuck Gormley.
Avoiding a head injury or possible concussion is definitely a positive for Latta, but an injury to the arm - depending on severity - could potentially mean he misses a longer period of time.
Deslauriers, meanwhile, who bloodied Justin Williams earlier in the contest, was rather proud of his handiwork.
