VIDEO: Abdelkader caps off Gordie Howe hat trick with fight

Justin Abdelkader channeled the greatest Detroit Red Wing of all time in an impressive performance Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres.

The 28-year-old scored to give his team a 2-0 lead in the first before assisting on a Drew Miller goal early in the second. In the final minute of the middle period, Abdelkader had a spirited tilt with defenseman Josh Gorges to complete the Gordie Howe hat trick.

Abdelkader's two-point night gives him 14 on the season. His fight was his first since March.
