Sabres' Girgensons ready to return after 4-game absence

Buffalo Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons is expected to play against the Nashville Predators after missing four games with an undisclosed injury.

He took part in the morning skate and declared himself ready to go for Wednesday's contest.

Sabres head coach Dan Bylsma said Girgensons "is back," according to NHL.com's Joe Yerdon.

The 21-year-old center was injured on a hit by San Jose Sharks forward Tommy Wingels on Nov. 14.

Girgensons had one goal and one assists in 17 games prior to the ailment after scoring 15 goals and adding 15 assists in 61 contests last season.
