St. Louis Blues goalie Jake Allen entered Thursday's game against the New York Rangers with a 165:59 shutout streak, but his run ended just five minutes into the first period as Derick Brassard netted his fifth goal of the year.
The early-game struggles continued for Allen as Mats Zuccarello scored a highlight-reel goal, sliding by Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester on his way to the net where he wristed home his eighth of the season to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead.
Zuccarello now has points in five of his last six games.
