VIDEO: Red Wings prospect Bertuzzi senselessly slew-foots Kasperi Kapanen

Detroit Red Wings prospect Tyler Bertuzzi was issued a two-game suspension by the American Hockey League for this foolish and highly dangerous slew-foot on Toronto Maple Leafs farmhand Kasperi Kapanen Friday night.

Bertuzzi took liberties on an unwilling Kapanen before his takedown, as he unsuccessfully attempted to goad the skilled forward into a fight while members of the Grand Rapids Griffins and Toronto Marlies paired off in a scrum.

He received a match penalty for the indiscretion.
