The Minnesota Wild have signed goaltender Kevin Lalande to a professional tryout deal.

The 28-year-old will attend training camp, which begins Friday.

Lalande went 16-3-2 with a 1.39 GAA and .934 save percentage in 23 games for CSKA Moscow of the KHL last season. He spent the last five campaigns in Russia, playing three seasons with Dynamo Minsk and one with Chekhov Vityaz.

He gained Belarussian citizenship in 2013 and backstopped the nation in the last two World Hockey Championships. Belarus qualified for the quarterfinal round at the 2015 tournament last spring.

The Kingston, Ont., native was a fifth-round pick of the Calgary Flames in 2005. The Flames traded Lalande to the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2009, and he played two seasons in the AHL before departing for Russia.
