Free-agent goaltender Jonas Gustavsson will reportedly get the chance to earn a roster spot with the Boston Bruins.
The 30-year-old will attend Bruins training camp on a tryout, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
Gustavsson was limited to seven NHL games and two AHL contests last season after suffering a shoulder injury and a concussion. He spent three years with the Detroit Red Wings after playing three campaigns with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Red Wings terminated his contract after the 2014-15 season, making him an unrestricted free agent. Detroit is set in the crease thanks to the emergence of Petr Mrazek and the presence of veteran Jimmy Howard.
Gustavsson has a lifetime record of 60-55-21 with a 2.89 GAA and a .901 save percentage.
