Unrestricted free agent Maxim Lapierre signed a one-year contract with MODO of the Swedish Elite League, according to Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
The 30-year-old spent last season split between the St. Louis Blues and the Pittsburgh Penguins, but didn't ink a deal with an NHL club this offseason.

Lapierre had just two goals and 11 points in 80 games with the Blues and Penguins last season.
