Discussions continue to heat up surrounding the Arizona Coyotes' third overall pick in Friday's NHL Entry Draft.

Craig Morgan of FOX Sports Arizona reports that Coyotes general manager Don Maloney continues to receive calls for the pick, with serious offers coming across the table.

With Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel essentially off the board, the crop of players available at No. 3 includes top prospects such as Noah Hanifin, Mitch Marner, Dylan Strome, Lawson Crouse, and Ivan Provorov, one of which a team seems intent on paying a hefty price to acquire.

The Winnipeg Jets are the only team in the first round of the draft with two confirmed mid-first round picks, so speculation has arisen that they may be the team Maloney is speaking of.

Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff told Stephen Whyno of The Canadian Press that the team would trade up to make a substantial move if the opportunity presented itself.
