The new head coach of the Edmonton Oilers will make $3 million per season over a period of five years, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Friedman reported the figures prior to Mike Babcock's press conference in Toronto.
TSN's Bob McKenzie confirms the salary, but not the period.
