The Washington Capitals were relentless in their Game 7 victory over the New York Islanders on Monday, and they focused a lot of their attention on John Tavares.

The captain, who registered 86 points in the regular season, was not credited with a single shot attempt in the contest.

When asked how he felt about the series after the game, Tavares had a few simple words for Neil Greenberg of the Washington Post:

Despite an off-night on Monday, Tavares did manage to score two goals and add four assists in the series, including an overtime winner in Game 3, but the forward was still having a tough time handling the loss.

The Capitals will advance to the second round of the postseason to do battle with the New York Rangers.
