The Edmonton Oilers recalled goaltender Tyler Bunz from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis Wednesday.

The move comes after Oilers goalie Richard Bachman left the team Wednesday due to a death in the family

Bunz spent the majority of the season with the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL, where he had a 2.97 goals-against average and an .890 save percentage in 17 games.

He's played just two games with the Barons this season, posting a 5.00 goals-against average and an .839 save percentage.
