The Ottawa Senators had a rough night on Thursday, getting pushed around by the New York Rangers in a 5-1 loss.

The Senators witnessed their seven-game winning streak come to an end along with the winning streak of goaltender Andrew Hammond, who lost his first NHL game.

With the team in the midst of a tight Eastern Conference playoff race and their goaltenders banged up, the Senators could welcome back forward Clarke MacArthur.

The 29-year-old veteran has been cleared to play, reports Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.

MacArthur has been out of action since February with a serious concussion and could return as early as Saturday against the Toronto Maple Leafs

The forward has 13 goals and 13 assists in 53 games.
