Charles LeClaire / USA Today
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Christian Ehrhoff left the game early in the first period against the St. Louis Blues with what is believed to be an upper-body injury.
Ehrhoff fell awkwardly into the boards after being hit by Vladimir Tarasenko.
Ehrhoff missed the team's last game with an undisclosed injury and also missed time after suffering a concussion back on Jan. 28.
Head coach Mike Johnston had no update for Ehrhoff following the game.
Ehrhoff has three goals and 14 points in 48 games.
