David Clarkson out 4-6 weeks with torn oblique muscle
So much for a fresh start.
Recently-acquired winger David Clarkson will be sidelined four-to-six weeks with a torn oblique muscle, according to Columbus Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen.
Clarkson, who was brought in from Toronto in exchange for the also-injured Nathan Horton, appeared in three games for the Blue Jackets and was forced to leave Tuesday's game against Washington with the injury.
The issue, however, arose two games earlier.
Clarkson suffered the injury in his #CBJ debut on Feb. 28, played through pain the last two games, #CBJ GM Jarmo Kekalainen said.

He's expected to miss a large part, if not all, of the remainder of the regular season.
There's always next year, though, when both Clarkson and the Blue Jackets will attempt to rebound from a downright awful 2014-15 season.
