VIDEO: Devils' Tootoo crushes Bruins' Soderberg in open ice
Ed Mulholland / USA Today
Jordin Tootoo was a one-man wrecking crew against the Boston Bruins on Friday, finishing the game with a goal and five hits - including a massive open-ice collision with Carl Soderberg.
The New Jersey Devils forward lined up Soderberg on the backcheck. The Bruins forward sent a pass to Zdeno Chara and cut towards the middle of the ice, where Tootoo tagged him with a clean check.
Chara took exception to the hit and appeared to challenge Tootoo to a fight, which Tootoo was smart to decline.
