Ducks, Sabres have reportedly held 'regular talks' on Tyler Myers
The Anaheim Ducks have reportedly been talking consistently with the Buffalo Sabres about trade possibilities for Tyler Myers, according to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.
"Anaheim GM Bob Murray doesn't want Myers going to the Red Wings - or anywhere else for that matter - and has held regular talks with Buffalo," Garrioch writes.
Anaheim, which has survived a series of injuries to its blue line to sit atop the league standings, has both the prospect depth and cap room presumably necessary to land the towering defenseman - and his expensive seven-year contract.
Myers enjoyed a strong start to the season, but has seen his play dip along with the rest of his Sabres teammates. He has two goals, 10 points and a nearly league-worst Corsi For percentage of 34.4.
