The NHL's Basement Bowl won't feature Taylor Hall.

The Edmonton Oilers forward will miss his second straight game with a bone bruise suffered earlier in the week after being hit with a shot in practice.

The Oilers, who sit in 29th place in the NHL with 33 points, play host to the last-place Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, a team that has lost 12 games in a row and moved ahead of the lowly pack in the Connor McDavid/Jack Eichel sweepstakes.

Hall sits in tie for the Oilers lead in points with 29 through 46 games.
