The St. Louis Blues have dreams of Brian Elliott dancing between the pipes as Christmas approaches.
The injured goaltender took part in Monday's practice after missing ten games with a lower-body injury. He joined Jake Allen and Martin Brodeur on the ice, and looked like a player who could return sooner than later, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Jeremy Rutherford.
Elliott was injured in a game against the Ottawa Senators on Nov. 25, and then considered week-to-week.
The Blues have gone 7-2-1 without Elliott's services, although Allen and Brodeur haven't exactly stood on their heads, with respective save percentages of .887 and .882 in the month of December.
Elliott posted a record of 8-4-1 with a dazzling .931 save percentage in 14 starts prior to the injury.
