The St. Louis Blues are expected to make a decision about whether or not to sign future Hall of Fame goaltender Martin Brodeur on Tuesday.
It would appear that Brodeur, like many a great artist, will indeed enjoy a Blues period.
Surely Broduer helped his cause at Blues practice on Monday when he did something that seemingly no NHL goaltender can at the moment, stoning red-hot Blues winger Vladimir Tarasenko on a breakaway.
The Blues seem to be leaning towards signing Brodeur, based on Ken Hitchcock's post-practice comments Monday:
Hitch said he likes Brodeur. If he signs, expect him to play at some point on this upcoming trip. #stlblues

At the very least, that's how Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reading the writing on the wall:

The Blues will kick off a busy road trip on Wednesday night in Chicago, before going on to play three games in four nights against a trio of sturdy teams in the Chicago Blackhawks, Nashville Predators and New York Islanders. Based on the quality of that competition, if Brodeur does get into a game - as it seems he will - he won't have the luxury of being eased back into the NHL.
The Blues face the Predators on the second leg of a back-to-back on Thursday night, so if Brodeur is going to play, that would seem to be the most likely date for his return.
