Colorado Avalanche goaltender Reto Berra left Thursday's game against the Ottawa Senators fewer than three minutes into the contest with an apparent injury after sustaining a hit in the crease.
Berra started in place of Semyon Varlamov, who was placed on injured reserve prior to the game.
Calvin Pickard made his NHL debut in Berra's place. Pickard was recalled Thursday.
After the game, head coach Patrick Roy had no update on Berra's condition.
