The Tampa Bay Lightning have confidence in a full recovery for goaltender Ben Bishop after they signed him to a two-year, $11.9 million contract Saturday.

Bishop, who was a Vezina Trophy finalist last season, is moving forward with the rehab process after wrist surgery in June.

Last season Bishop suffered an elbow injury in April and was ruled out of the playoffs. He appeared in 63 games with the Lightning for a record of 37-14-7.
