The NHL Draft floor is sacred space, but the Vancouver Canucks have given hockey fans a behind-the-scenes look at the 2014 event via a mic'd up Jim Benning, his first as the team's general manager.
In the video, we get a look at the team's first round selection and a subsequent explanation to team president Trevor Linden as to why that player will fit in with the team.
Benning also entertains a trade offer from New York Islanders GM Garth Snow, and actually utters the line, "I can't reveal that information, it's top secret."
Riveting stuff.
