VIDEO: Henrik Lundqvist sprays Sidney Crosby with water during period ending scrum

Beyond seeing pucks through a critical mass of shot-blocking bodies, New York Rangers goaltender Henrik "Shawn Thornton" Lundqvist obviously learned a thing or two during John Tortorella's tenure as the head coach of the New York Rangers. It seems that Lundqvist also listened closely to Tortorella's lessons about how one accurately squirts a water-bottle during tense moments in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Where Tortorella's target was an annoying fan, Lundqvist's was an annoying "best hockey player on the planet."

During a scrum late in the second period of Game 6 between the Rangers and the Pittsburgh Penguins, Henrik Lundqvist skated by an active Penguins/Rangers doggy-pile and sprayed Penguins captain Sidney Crosby in the face with his water bottle:

In the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs the league-wide trend was "spearing a guy in the testicles with your stick." The aggressive pest trend in the second round? Water bottle squirt guns, apparently.

Just another reminder that all is fair in love, war and playoff hockey.
