The Carolina Hurricanes announced a significant shake up to their front office on Monday, highlighted by Stanley Cup winner Ron Francis replacing general manager Jim Rutherford. There will be other changes to the Hurricanes front office in addition to Francis stepping into the top executive role according to TSN reporter (and former Hurricanes defenseman) Aaron Ward:

Rutherford will remain with the organization as President, however, he described his new role as an advisory one and insisted that "no one will report to me" on several occasions during Monday's press conference.
