The hockey gods have a funny way of punishing Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand.
Marchand regularly makes headlines for his in-game antics, and usually he supports his one-man circus act with solid numbers on offense. But he missed a golden opportunity to get Boston on the board in the first period of Game 4 against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.
Marchand caught Detroit netminder Jonas Gustavsson out of position but shot the puck across the wide-open net, missing on the far side:

It's not the first time Marchand has missed an open net in the series. His playoff goal drought stands at 11 games and he probably won't get a better chance to end it...
