Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matthew Knies is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and won't play Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues, the team announced.
Knies is the latest member of the team to go down with an injury, joining Auston Matthews, Nicolas Roy, Scott Laughton, Chris Tanev, Brandon Carlo, and Anthony Stolarz on the shelf.
The 23-year-old power forward has been a key contributor for Toronto this season, ranking third on the team with 22 points in 19 games.
The Maple Leafs enter Tuesday riding a five-game losing streak.
