Sabres' Kulich out indefinitely with blood clot
Buffalo Sabres forward Jiri Kulich will miss "significant time" with a blood clot, head coach Lindy Ruff announced Monday.
Ruff added that the issue is "pretty serious" and didn't provide an exact timetable for Kulich's return, though he's hopeful he'll play again this season.
"I'm gonna say yes," Ruff said. "That really depends on how things go here in the next three or four weeks."
Kulich hasn't played since Nov. 1. He was skating on the team's top line before his absence. He's tallied five points in 12 games this season after producing 15 goals and nine assists in 62 appearances a year ago.
The Sabres drafted Kulich 28th overall in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Buffalo is also without Rasmus Dahlin, Jason Zucker, Josh Norris, and Zach Benson, among others.
