The Ottawa Senators acquired defenseman Jordan Spence from the Los Angeles Kings for a 2025 third-round pick as well as a sixth-round selection in 2026, the teams announced Saturday.
Spence has one year remaining on his contract at a $1.5-million cap hit before becoming a restricted free agent. The 24-year-old notched 24 points in 79 games this past season while averaging 16:47 per contest.
He'll join a right-side defense corps that features Artem Zub, Nick Jensen, and Nikolas Matinpalo.
The Senators are left with approximately $9.25 million in cap space after the trade, according to PuckPedia.
