The Ottawa Senators placed forward Alex Burrows and defenseman Johnny Oduya on waivers Sunday, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
Ottawa was recently rumored to be working potential trades for Oduya, but with nothing coming to fruition, the veteran rearguard hits waivers as an unrestricted free agent.
In 51 games this season, Oduya logged an average of 17:12 in ice time to go along with four goals and four assists.
As for Burrows, the superpest has been a major disappointment since joining Ottawa, notching only nine goals in 71 regular-season games. Burrows has another year remaining on his contract with a $2.5-million cap hit.
