The Boston Bruins dealt for forward depth prior to the trade deadline, adding Tommy Wingels from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a 2019 conditional fifth-round pick, the team announced Monday.
The pick will become a fourth-rounder if the Bruins advance past the first round of the playoffs, or Wingels re-signs with the Bruins.
Wingels is a 29-year-old winger who recorded seven goals and five assists in 57 games for Chicago this season.
He was also a member of the 2016 San Jose Sharks team that advanced to the Stanley Cup Final.
