Trotz moves into 5th in all-time games coached

Barry Trotz achieved a career milestone Sunday, passing Lindy Ruff and moving into fifth on the NHL's all-time games coached list.

Of those 1,494 games, 298 have come since 2014 as head coach of the Washington Capitals, while the previous 1,196 appearances were made from behind the Nashville Predators' bench.
Heading into Sunday's game against Vegas, Trotz's career coaching record stood at 743-558-60-132, with 39 wins in 80 playoff games added to his resume.
