The Calgary Flames are red-hot.
A 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday gave the Flames their seventh consecutive victory, moving them to 54 points and into second place in the Pacific Division.
While there is no single reason for the team's uptick, Calgary has pieced together five straight wins since coach Glen Gulutzan's stick-throwing tantrum in practice earlier this month.
The Flames now enter their bye week and will return to the ice Saturday vs. the Winnipeg Jets.
