The goal marked the seventh time in Monahan's career that he's closed out a regular-season tilt with an overtime winner, moving him past former Flames captain Jarome Iginla for most in franchise history.
Teammate Mikael Backlund sits tied with Iginla for second in Flames history with six to his name, while captain Mark Giordano has five overtime winners on his career.
