Kings' Paul LaDue: Brought up to big club

LaDue was recalled from AHL Ontario on Wednesday.

Analysis:

The University of North Dakota product may have had an obstacle cleared from his path with the Kings trading veteran blueliner Tom Gilbert to the Capitals on Wednesday. LaDue has been a strong two-way presence at hockey's lower levels -- including skating to a plus-31 rating in his final collegiate season (2015-16) -- though he's a bit of a late bloomer at 24 years old.
