The Edmonton Oilers will be without defenseman Darnell Nurse for the foreseeable future, head coach Todd McLellan announced Saturday.
While unable to provide specifics, McLellan said the injury occurred in Thursday's win over Winnipeg, and general manager Peter Chiarelli will provide an update in the next day or two.
Nurse, 21, has registered three goals and two assists this season, averaging 17:40 of ice time in 25 contests.
