Devils' Devante Smith-Pelly: Scratched Sunday

Smith-Pelly is a healthy scratch for Sunday's showdown in Carolina, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Analysis:

Smith-Pelley went on a three-game point streak at the end of October but has been mostly ineffective otherwise this season. Jacob Josefson and Reid Boucher have slotted into the lineup in place of Smith-Pelley and Sergey Kalinin in an attempt to jumpstart the Devils' offense, which currently ranks 27th in the league with 2.2 goals per game.
