The Chicago Blackhawks will be without the newest member of the 500-goal club Friday when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Marian Hossa has been ruled out due to a lower-body injury, head coach Joel Quenneville confirmed, according to Judd Sirott of WGN 720. Hossa suffered the injury Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers after he blocked a shot, reports CSN Chicago's Tracey Myers.
Hossa recently netted his first goal of the season which was also the 500th of his career, making him the 44th player in NHL history to reach the milestone.
The 37-year-old has four points in four games to start the year.
