Lack was infamously given a Heritage Classic start over Roberto Luongo, while the latter - who had endured a previous brouhaha with Cory Schneider - was traded two days later. As fate would have it, Lack was then traded to Carolina after Markstrom emerged as a viable option in net.
Somewhere, Ryan Miller is thinking, "Don't forget about me, guys."
