Columbus, OH (Sports Network) - Rookie defenseman Ryan Murray scored 4:38 into overtime to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the preseason opener for both teams.
Mark Letestu and James Wisniewski had a goal and an assist for the Blue Jackets. Artem Anisimov and Cam Atkinson also lit the lamp.
Curtis McElhinney stopped 24-of-26 shots for Columbus. Oscar Dansk turned aside 9-of-11 shots.
Chuck Kobasew had two goals for the Penguins, who got one goal apiece from Dustin Jeffrey and James Neal.
Marc-Andre Fleury allowed two goals on 12 shots for Pittsburgh, which saw Jeff Zatkoff stop 10-of-13 shots.
