The Carolina Panthers signed safety Trenton Robinson to a one-year contract.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Robinson recorded 52 tackles and an interception in nine games with the Washington Redskins, making seven starts at strong safety. However, he was placed on season-ending injured reserve due to a hamstring injury.
The 26-year-old is expected to compete against Dean Marlowe and Tre Boston for the Panthers' starting strong safety spot.
